I recently visited Bellaire ER and they were excellent all around. Miss Ana in the front desk was very nice and helpful. And Dr. Quintanilla was very professional and gave me the upmost care! I would definitely recommend and use Bellaire ER again!

This is a great place to walk into when you are feeling awful! The medical team was understanding, kind, professional and knew what they were doing. I walked out knowing what was wrong with me and my medications were ready at the pharmacy as soon as I arrived. This was the smoothest, least stressful urgent care appointment I have experienced. I’m also from out of state. The woman at the front desk processed my insurance immediately. Most importantly, the medical assistant was very thorough and so nice and the doctor was very knowledgeable and calming. All in all a great experience when you’re feeling horrible! If I lived here, I would even consider having them as my regular ‘go to’ physician!

New to area (just moved here) my son drove me to your facility as closer than St David after a surprise visit to my apt. He knew I was not feeling well. I was treated right away. Dx w L LL Pnemonia and script for 2 antibiotics. Treated by a Nurse Practitioner!!!😍I was very pleased as I am a retired Hospital RN and have twin identical BSN nurses! One at MD Anderson -Houston and works as ER nurse in Des Plaines Illinois. .

Pediatric urgent care
I scheduled and appt for 8pm. The text I received said to check in by 745 which I did. When I walked in there were 3 other families in the waiting area. No one at the front desk to greet you, just check in on the iPad. I then received a text that said you can check your place in line there were 3 other families listed and it stated 2(1 of which was mine) had an appt and the other 2 were walk ins. I watched 1 appt and 1 walk in go ahead before me and another family left so we got called back around 8:06 because the other family walked out. We were told 4 other families were ahead of us. I asked what the point in making an appt is if that was the case. I knew all the families before us didn’t have appts. At least 2 of them. So, we waited. The lady came in and did vitals and brought us back some ibuprofen. Just handed me the syringe and said to give it to her. Not once did she try to help when she seen I was struggling to give it because my daughter was screaming and kicking she just kept trying to give her a popsicle which wasn’t helping the situation. Before I even finished giving the meds she walked out and said the doctor will be with us shortly. We waited an hour and 15 minutes before I went out to check what the hold up was and they told me she was in the room and I was next. Ok, yeah. So we waited and the doctor walked in at 9:36. She was great but the whole process of how they take the patients back needs to be reassessed. I believe the patients who make appts should be called back before the walk ins because what’s the point in making one when they just take you back by the order you signed in as. Maybe having more than one doctor on site when it’s the busy sick season would be good too. We got out of there going on 10pm and I had to run home check on my newborn who I needed to feed and then go back out again and grab the meds at the 24 hour pharmacy!!

Urgent care in Bee Cave, TX

Bee Cave is an affluent Hill Country suburb west of Austin, anchored by the Hill Country Galleria, top-rated Lake Travis ISD schools, and quick access to Lake Travis. Most urgent care capacity is along SH-71 and in nearby Lakeway. Compare local options or extend to the broader urgent care in Austin network.

What services do urgent care clinics in Bee Cave offer?

Urgent care clinics in Bee Cave, TX treat respiratory illness, lacerations, sports and school physicals, basic labs, sprains, and pediatric care. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway anchors the closest hospital network, with Ascension Seton, Austin Regional Clinic, and several independent walk-in clinics along SH-71 and Bee Cave Road.2

Most Bee Cave-area urgent care clinics are open seven days a week, with extended weekday and weekend hours, on-site digital X-ray, basic in-house labs (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis), and standard suturing capability. Cash-pay rates and copays should be confirmed at booking; many clinics post transparent self-pay pricing online. Booking through Solv lets you compare clinic distance, real-time wait, and reviews before you commit, which often saves time during peak respiratory season (October–February) and back-to-school physical season (July–August).

Does urgent care in Bee Cave accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Most Bee Cave urgent care clinics accept Texas STAR Medicaid managed-care plans, administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Bee Cave skews heavily commercial-insured, but verify your MCO in-network status. KFF reports Travis County tracks below the Texas state Medicaid coverage average.3

In addition to STAR, Texas runs CHIP (children's coverage), STAR+PLUS (Medicaid + Medicare for adults with disabilities), STAR Kids (Medicaid for children with disabilities), and STAR Health (foster care). Coverage rules differ across programs — patients should bring their MCO ID card, a state-issued photo ID, and any referral paperwork to a Bee Cave urgent care visit. If you're unsure whether a clinic accepts your specific Medicaid plan, call the clinic before booking or use Solv's in-network filter to narrow the list.

How does Bee Cave urgent care relate to Austin?

Bee Cave sits about 14 miles west of downtown Austin along SH-71, in the Hill Country edge between Austin and Lake Travis. With an estimated 9,600 residents per U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,4 Bee Cave is small in population but the regional retail anchor for the affluent western Travis County corridor — Lake Travis ISD, the Galleria, and a workforce concentrated in tech, finance, and professional services. For specialty visits or after-hours care, residents commonly route to central urgent care in Austin.

For most non-life-threatening problems, an urgent care visit is faster and considerably less expensive than the ER. KFF research consistently shows the average emergency department visit costs several times what a comparable urgent care visit costs, even before insurance.3 Patients in Bee Cave who can't get into a local urgent care clinic often have shorter waits at clinics in adjacent suburbs, and most major hospital networks — including Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway — share medical records across affiliated locations, so visiting a sister clinic generally doesn't fragment your care.

Common reasons Bee Cave residents book urgent care include sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, sprains and minor fractures, lacerations, low-grade fevers, mild allergic reactions, rashes, eye irritation, and routine school or sports physicals. For chest pain, stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, slurred speech, vision loss), severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion or loss of consciousness, major bleeding, severe burns, or any breathing difficulty, the ER — including Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway — is the right choice. Telehealth is another option for clear-cut viral illnesses or prescription refills, and many Bee Cave-area urgent care brands offer same-day virtual visits in addition to in-person care.
