Urgent care
Scheduling and check-in was super easy as I did it from the Solv app.  The staff was patient and sweet to my 2 toddlers who were both sick and rambunctious. The provider answered all my questions and even gave me tips on things to and not to feed them during their sickness to help with their congestion and diarrhea.

Urgent care
My father had a pain in his side that made him groan every couple of minutes. His doctor’s office was closed, so we needed an urgent care clinic that accepted Medicare. Found CityDoc, scheduled online for that afternoon, and completed all the paperwork online. It was easy, and check-in was easy and smooth. Everyone at the clinic was very nice, and the doctor was very nice  and quite thorough. I would definitely recommend this provider and this clinic.

Urgent Care in Mesquite, TX

Mesquite is a major suburban city in Dallas County with a population of approximately 141,000 residents, making it one of the 25 most populous cities in Texas. Located east of downtown Dallas along I-30 and US-80, Mesquite is a fully developed suburb with deep community roots and a diverse population. The city has a well-established urgent care network: Baylor Scott & White Urgent Care+ (formerly NextCare), Concentra, Urgent Care of Texas, and PrimaCare Urgent Care all operate in Mesquite, providing residents with convenient walk-in access. For specialized care and the broader DFW provider network, residents access the full Dallas urgent care network.

When should you use urgent care instead of the ER in Mesquite?

Urgent care is the appropriate first stop for most non-emergency medical needs in Mesquite: ear and sinus infections, strep throat, UTIs, respiratory illness, skin conditions, minor injuries, and flu symptoms. Mesquite offers multiple urgent care locations, giving residents options to avoid long ER waits for conditions that don't require hospital-level resources. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Sunnyvale is the nearest major hospital for true emergencies. Always go to the ER—or call 911—for chest pain, stroke symptoms, major trauma, or life-threatening conditions.

What do urgent care clinics in Mesquite treat?

Mesquite's walk-in clinics handle a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric conditions. Concentra specializes in occupational health services for the many distribution, logistics, and manufacturing workers in the east Dallas corridor—including pre-employment physicals, injury evaluation, and DOT physicals in Mesquite, TX. Baylor Scott & White and Urgent Care of Texas handle general urgent care including respiratory illness, fracture evaluation, and lab services. Sports physicals in Mesquite, TX are available ahead of each school athletic season.

Seasonal health in Mesquite and Dallas County

Dallas County's allergy seasons affect Mesquite residents throughout much of the year. Cedar fever from December through February, followed by oak, ash, and grass pollen through late spring, drives consistent allergic rhinitis volume at walk-in clinics. Summer is intense—heat index values regularly exceed 105°F in east Dallas County, and heat exhaustion is common from June through September. According to Dallas County Health and Human Services,1 the department tracks respiratory illness, vector-borne disease, and chronic disease trends across the county's diverse communities. Winter respiratory viruses are a leading driver of urgent care volume from November through February.

Who lives in Mesquite, TX?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,2 Mesquite had a population of approximately 141,000 at the 2020 Census. The city is significantly diverse—approximately 37% Hispanic or Latino and 27% Black or African American—with a mix of working-class and middle-class households. STAR Medicaid serves a meaningful share of Mesquite's population, and self-pay pricing is relevant for the community's uninsured residents.

Does urgent care in Mesquite accept STAR Medicaid and other insurance?

Texas Medicaid is administered through the STAR managed care program, which provides health coverage for qualifying low-income children, pregnant women, and eligible adults, as described by Texas Health and Human Services.3 STAR members should verify their specific managed care organization's network before visiting, as covered clinics vary by plan. According to KFF State Health Facts,4 Texas has one of the highest uninsured rates in the United States, making self-pay pricing transparency an important access consideration for residents across the state.
