New to area (just moved here) my son drove me to your facility as closer than St David after a surprise visit to my apt. He knew I was not feeling well. I was treated right away. Dx w L LL Pnemonia and script for 2 antibiotics. Treated by a Nurse Practitioner!!!😍I was very pleased as I am a retired Hospital RN and have twin identical BSN nurses! One at MD Anderson -Houston and works as ER nurse in Des Plaines Illinois. .

I had an appointment and arrived early. It was a really long wait with one person in front of me. Staff was awesome though. I didn't really feel that I had to be seen by so many different staff members and technicians (4) just for lab work. Never got a call back on rapid results.

Had been unable to clear earwax out of my ear for a few days and was scared of an infection. Jasmine Laura and a couple more of the nice staff I didn't hear the names of helped me. They never gave up until it was clean even though it was annoyingly stubborn! I was so relieved walking out.

Urgent care in Thrall, TX

Thrall is a small farming community in Williamson County, about 40 miles northeast of Austin along U.S. Highway 79. Residents managing everyday illnesses, minor injuries, or occupational health needs can access walk-in urgent care without the wait or cost of a full emergency department — and book online through urgent care in Austin.

What services do urgent care clinics near Thrall offer?

Urgent care clinics serving Williamson County handle a wide range of non-emergency conditions, including respiratory infections, strep throat, urinary tract infections, lacerations requiring sutures, sprains and fractures, and occupational health services such as drug screenings and DOT physicals. Ascension Seton operates facilities throughout the greater Austin–Round Rock area and is among the most accessible regional health systems for Thrall residents.2 Clinics in nearby Georgetown and Taylor serve patients who need imaging, lab work, or IV fluids that smaller freestanding locations may not offer.

Does urgent care near Thrall accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics in the Williamson County corridor accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 STAR covers low-income children, pregnant women, and certain adults and requires enrollment in a managed care organization (MCO) such as Aetna Better Health, Molina Healthcare, or United Healthcare Community Plan. Patients should confirm their MCO network before visiting, as coverage varies by plan.3

How does Thrall's location shape urgent care access?

According to U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts, Thrall's population is approximately 920 residents — a figure that reflects its deep agricultural roots rather than the rapid suburban growth transforming much of Williamson County.4 Farm and ranch workers in the area face occupational health risks including heat exhaustion, equipment injuries, and pesticide exposure, all of which urgent care clinics can address without an ER visit. The nearest fully equipped emergency departments are in Georgetown and Taylor, roughly 20–30 minutes away, making walk-in clinics the practical first stop for non-life-threatening care. For broader urgent care options, residents often travel to urgent care in Austin.
