Was pretty sure I had a UTI. All staff was friendly and professional and caring. The doctor on call was extremely nice and listened to everything I said and talked to me for a few minutes and didn’t make me feel rushed. Don’t remember his name, but if I ever have to go to the clinic again, I would love to have him as the attending again!  Wouls definitely recommend this provider!

Great urgent care! They accepted both my primary and secondary insurance. You can walk in or set up an appointment on line. Quickly tap in your arrival notice on the couple of screens provided. The wait was then minimal, the staff always meet you with a smile and the facility is beautiful. I saw a knowledgeable nurse practitioner who was very attentive and concerned with my leaving with all my needs addressed. When I had an issue that the pharmacy I requested was closed, I was able to quickly have them reroute the meds to one that was open. This will be my go-to location for urgent care when my PCP is not available.

I had a allergic reaction and my top lip was really swollen. My experience was great, from check in to speaking with the nurse. I felt the nurse was a straight shooter as if I was talking to a friend. The lady who checked me in after I showed her my lips because I had my mask on, she was prepared once the nurse was done speaking with me. I really appreciate the both of them and I am doing better. Thank you again..

Urgent care in Magnolia, TX

Magnolia is a fast-growing Montgomery County exurb northwest of Houston along FM-1488 and SH-249, with urgent care needs anchored by HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball and clinics across the Tomball/Magnolia corridor. Book a walk-in slot near you or in urgent care in Houston in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Magnolia offer?

Magnolia and nearby Tomball urgent care clinics handle the everyday acute care load — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, allergic reactions — plus DOT and sports physicals for Magnolia ISD athletes, and on-site labs and X-ray. HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball anchors the local hospital and operates affiliated CareNow urgent care, while Memorial Hermann The Woodlands and Houston Methodist The Woodlands provide additional hospital options nearby.2

Does urgent care in Magnolia accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most Magnolia urgent care clinics accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Texas has not expanded Medicaid, so eligibility is largely limited to children, pregnant women, and very low-income families — KFF reports Texas has the highest uninsured rate in the U.S.3 CareNow and most freestanding clinics in the corridor accept STAR managed care plans; confirm your specific MCO at booking.

How does Magnolia urgent care relate to Houston?

Magnolia has roughly 2,500 residents in the incorporated city, but the broader Magnolia ISD-area population is much larger and growing rapidly with Houston outmigration along FM-1488 and SH-249.4 The local economy is tied to the broader Tomball / The Woodlands tech and energy corridor and ranching/agriculture further west. Specialty and higher-acuity healthcare routes into the broader urgent care in Houston market.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Magnolia?

Yes. Magnolia, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Magnolia accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Magnolia area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Magnolia accept?

Most Magnolia-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Magnolia?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Magnolia residents is HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball.
  • How are Magnolia urgent care clinics handling rapid population growth?

Magnolia and the broader FM-1488 corridor have seen significant urgent care expansion over the last five years, with HCA CareNow, Next Level, and several independent operators all opening new clinics. Wait times still spike during cold and flu season; online booking is the most reliable way to secure a slot at peak hours.
