Urgent care
Got a text that I was ready to be seen so I came to the clinic but then waited an hour to be seen. They refused to do most accurate testing (vaginal swab for gonorrhea and chlamydia testing in women… they said urine was the only option which is not standard of care for women and has many false negatives). No clinic has ever refused to do GC/CM swab for testing. Just so odd to me. They seemed agitated that I even asked. I’m an ER PA with 10 years experience who tests others for STIs all the time, so why would they not practice evidence-based medicine at AFC?

I’m not happy that no one told me the medication Paxlovid would cost me $600 unless I had a coupon in which case it would cost me $25

Urgent care
Both the doctor and the nurse I saw were great, I feel like I was very well taken care of and heard, they alleviated my concerns, informed me clearly, and gave me a clear plan of action. I wish that doctor could be my primary care physician actually. It was awesome!

How does Vista urgent care relate to San Diego?

Vista is a North San Diego County city of approximately 100,000 residents,4 located 35 miles north of downtown San Diego via I-5 or I-15. The city sits inland from the SR-78 coastal corridor between Oceanside and Escondido, drawing healthcare demand from Camp Pendleton, Carlsbad, and unincorporated communities to the north. North County's relative independence from downtown San Diego — and the strong Tri-City Medical Center hospital network — means most non-emergency care is handled locally. The San Diego urgent care network provides metro-wide options.
